Hello World. Our grand adventure begins June, 2013, when we move to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We will begin work at an International School in Kuala Lumpur, one of the top International Schools in all SE Asia. This blog is just one way we hope to keep in touch with family and friends. Our first comment!!!! and we haven’t even left home.
Being so far away from home, I know we will be hungry for news and for those “connections”. We’ll be making copious use of Skype and Facetime, we’re hoping to get a few visitors, and our BLOG is another link to family and friends. I think the first few months will be the hardest.

I am hoping for an occasional Ranger Cookie Care Package….the food in Malaysia is suppose to be exquisite but nowhere, absolutely nowhere, do I read of Ranger Cookies being available for purchase.
My only fear is the cookies would never get through customs without being gobbled up by the security agents…I would probably only receive a box with a few crumbs!!!!
It is so nice to have so many ready follow our grand adventure….and, just so you know…our condo has three bedrooms and two of them are set up for GUESTS. hint, hint, hint!!!!

Kathy, we are going to hold you to it!! We can hardly wait till the day we hear a knock at our door and see you standing there with suitcase in hand. We actually just purchased beds for both the guest rooms…ready for guests!
I do hope I will have a few teachers at ISKL who will wait at my office door on the day test results are published just like Kathy Schwab did every year!! I should be so lucky.

I am so glad you are signed up to follow us. While this is a grand adventure it is most difficult leaving family and friends…emotionally it gets harder each day. Please keep in touch…we need to practice a few times on Skype so we get really comfortable with it. Christmas is not that long away. I have said many times how lucky I am to be part of this family. Fran, we unfortunately packed the wonderful neighborhood address/name/phone number sheet you distributed to the block. If you have an extra copy I know Jeremy and Robin would appreciate it.
